I like making a mess, especially when there is too much order. And I hate limitations. By allowing my inner child to make a mess, I recognize what bothers me, excites me, and soothes me. Making art is my way of unearthing my feelings. I love the freedom of expression through lines, colors and expressive, creative mark making. While making messes, images become metaphor which become my subject matter. For instance, the llamas that show up depict adoration and infatuation; trains are unyielding momentum and drive. It is a wonderful moment when I witness someone viewing my art and understanding my game. My process is mess, play, game, rules, order. When the order become tedious, I make another mess.
